‘Buena Vista Social Club Typeface’ is the consequence of an automatable – and fun – process aimed at drastically modify existing letter shapes in order to develope new ones.

‘Whipped cream + Helvetica Typeface’ were combined to capture the feel of the Latin American rhythms. As a result, a floral and dynamic full alphabet was generated. Using the new typeface as a pattern, more than 100 vinyl covers were designed to show the versatility of the process. Cuban music is lively, upbeat and fresh, and so are these automatable letters and layouts!
